Welcome to Hi Horizon
Hello, I'm Imogen Lepere a freelance travel writer based between Devon and London. Hi Horizon is a monthly newsletter dedicated to exploring how people change places and places change people.
Each issue is a personal weather report written from inside uncertainty, rather than after it has passed — drawing on lived experience, travel, cultural observation and work from the field. At its heart, this is writing about how we orient ourselves when the old maps stop working, and what it means to live with curiosity, care and intention as the world rearranges itself around us.
Each issue also includes tips for more meaningful travel, cultural recommendations and insights into what's on my desk , offering tomorrow's travel writers a glimpse into how I make a living from my passion.
Who is this newsletter for?
Anyone who appreciates the craft of writing and navigating their 20s, 30s or 40s without a map. If you are interested in travel beyond checklists, and in how movement, place, pause and return shape who we become, I hope you'll enjoy this newsletter.
Why subscribe?
By signing up, you'll get access to the full archive of everything that's been published before and all that's still to come. Your very own private library. It will also support my dream to turn these newsletters into a book proposal at the end of 2026.
